I found a gem tucked away just a short drive from downtown, where I could enjoy rustic charm and comfortable rockers on my private balcony while easily accessing breathtaking trails and the Highlands Art Gallery just under 3 km away.

I had a great time enjoying coffee on the balcony while watching hummingbirds and songbirds nearby. The hot tub offered a cozy retreat, and the Caprese salad we ordered was delicious! I would absolutely return here again.

Unfortunately, the room I stayed in had a musty smell and was quite dark, lacking proper lighting and ventilation. Having no fridge or microwave limited convenience, especially without a proper closet for clothing storage. hanging clothes was a challenge. Insulation between rooms is poor, leading to noise disturbances from guests above, which could be bothersome for light sleepers. Additionally, navigating the access to the rooms can be tricky, with icy steps that pose a minor safety hazard in the morning. The breakfast options are notably limited, missing out on a solid, hearty meal, especially given the hotel's remote location.
